Plants were located in Allegan County, Lower Peninsula of Michigan in an open forest. Plants are very drought resistant and the foliage holds its green color all summer until fall. Colors of orange to yellow appear int he autumn. Fruits are black, which classifies it as the variety nigrum. Flavor is more acidic than other Pensylvanicum clones, but the fruits are pleasant.
