1998 Beltsville, MD
A trailing, thorn-less blackberry. Yields are consistently high and plants are vigorous. Fruit size is medium and the fruit quality is firm, which is good for fresh market. The foliage is dense, so the ripe fruit does not suffer from sun scald like other cultivars. Triple Crown can be grown wherever Chester is grown successfully. Hardiness Zones 5b-9b.

We placed a big order of fruit bearing plants from Hartmann’s this spring. Among those plants was Triple Crown Blackberry. Straight out of the box they were healthy, well rooted plants. We installed them along the fence in the berry patch in early spring and by late summer, they had literally covered the whole fence and anywhere a cane came in contact with the ground, it rooted, making me a whole new plant! I’m absokutely amazed with their growth! We’re so impressed I recommend Hartmann’s to everyone!
