JOSTABERRY CURRANT
Ribes × nidigrolaria
The Jostaberry is a hybrid cross of Black Currant and Gooseberry. The flavors of the deep black fruit have the aromas, sweetness, with slight acidity similar to both parents.
The fruit size is larger than the black currant being ½ inch or larger to and ripen in mid – summer with currants. The plants are very vigorous and are resistant to white pine blister rust, leaf spots, and mildew diseases. USDA Zones 4-8
