Another selection by the great New Zealand horticulturalist Ken Nobbs, ‘Ken’s Red’ bears fruit similar to that of ‘Hardy Red’ but is less cold hardy. The flavor is a distinct sweet kiwi taste with barely detectable acidity. Harvest window: early to mid-October. Recommended backyard cultivar. USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 6a – 8.
